SERVICE — INSPECTION & DRONE

Thermographic drone inspection

Detect the invisible. Locate the defects. Optimise the performance of your photovoltaic installations.

§ 01A FAST, NON-DESTRUCTIVE DIAGNOSIS

MaythEG offers aerial inspection of photovoltaic plants, rooftops and fields, using a drone equipped for thermal and visual imaging.

Thermography reveals temperature differences that point to anomalies, which are not always visible during a conventional inspection.

§ 02ANOMALIES WE LOOK FOR

Thermal / electrical defects

  • Hotspots and abnormal overheating
  • Under-performing modules and sub-strings
  • String anomalies and out-of-service areas
  • Overheating of connections or equipment

Visual / operational defects

  • Visibly damaged or cracked modules
  • Soiling, shading and obstacles
  • Visible degradation and layout defects
  • Areas requiring a targeted field inspection
§ 03OUR SERVICE

Thermographic drone inspection

01Mission preparation and flight plan
02Acquisition of thermal and RGB images
03Identification and geolocation of anomalies
04Analysis and ranking of findings by criticality
05Mapping / location plan depending on the scope
06Illustrated inspection report with maintenance recommendations
07Comparative check possible after intervention
§ 04BENEFITS AND APPLICATIONS

Benefits for the client

  • Faster inspection of large surfaces
  • Less exposure of personnel on roofs or in hard-to-reach areas
  • Better-targeted maintenance
  • Early identification of anomalies
  • Support for installation acceptance and periodic monitoring
  • Traceability through inspection images and reports

Applications

  • Ground-mounted photovoltaic plants
  • Industrial and commercial rooftops
  • Solar carports
  • Hotels and commercial buildings
  • Remote sites
  • Large residential installations

Technical reference: missions can be prepared according to the requirements applicable to thermography of photovoltaic systems, in particular IEC TS 62446-3, subject to the contractual scope, weather conditions and local regulations on drone operations.
